Guild History
Franklin County Quilter’s Guild is celebrating 15th anniversary this month! The guild “was born” on February 6, 1991. In February 1996, the guild had the “Ugly Fabric Quilt Block” contest. Guild members made a quilt from the contest blocks and donated the quilt to the Senior Center.

Secretary’s Report
Kirsten Kebbel made a motion to accept the minutes; Gerda Thibault seconded. Motion passed.

Treasurer’s Report
The January and February reports were combined into one report. After Deb Dusablon read her report, Kris Bachand made a motion to accept, and Denise Chase seconded. Motion passed.


Old Business
Raffle Quilt: The completed Raffle Quilt was finally unveiled. Suzanne LeBlanc machine quilted it free of charge. Suzanne is the co-owner of Autumn Harvest Farm & Quilt Studio, in Grafton, NH, with her husband.
Raffle Tickets: Please bring all tickets and money to Gwen Guyette for the March meeting.
Quilt Show: Show is on Saturday, April 1st, with set up in City Hall on Friday night, March 31. Denise chase is loaning her van to Ann to pick up the poles. Carol Stanley is doing the narrating once again. Posters and handouts are at the printers and will be ready next meeting. Seven vendors will be at the show this year as we have room. Sign up lists at March meeting for “jobs.” Quilt registration forms should be given or sent to Ann Pitt by March meeting.
Charity Quilt: One of our new members, Karen Gibson, is quilting the Charity Quilt free of charge.
Quilting Bees: January’s Bee was at Home Health with 8 quilters attending on Saturday and 5 on Sunday. February’s Bee is at the Public Safety Building in Montgomery Center. March’s Bee will be in Bakersfield on March 11th & 12th.
Monthly raffle block and final step of mystery quilt: The monthly winner of blocks was Sally Krupp. Monthly drawings, including 4 prizes from Cottonwood Quilts, were won by Gerda Thibault, Linda Howard, Fran Morong, Becky Benson, Linda McNall, Beth Fancher.
April Program: The guild will have a Trunk Show and Workshop in April with Sharon Stroud. Friday, April 21st is the trunk show and April meeting. A full-day workshop will be held on Saturday, April 22nd ; the workshop is called "Finishing Touches," what to do when you finish your quilt top. A maximum of 20 quilters will take the workshop at the NMC Conference Room. Plan to sign up for the workshop at the March meeting.
Show and Tell: There were many gorgeous items and people are working on their WIPS for the challenge.
Fabulous 15 Challenge: This month’s list number is 15, or you can be creative with your list and finish any WIP for next month.

For those quilters who also like to knit, there is a new yarn shop in St Albans by Thibault’s appliances, Homestead Yarns. Shop is open T-F 10-5, Sat 10-4.
