Welcome
36 members present.
Guild History
April 1999, our
first Quilt Show took place under the direction of Denise Christiansen.
She would chair 4 more shows.
Secretary’s Report
Marge Taylor made the
motion to accept; Bonnie Evans seconded. Motion passed.
Treasurer’s Report
Denise Chase made the
motion to accept; Mary Ellen Therrien seconded. Motion passed.
Old Business
*Many “thank
yous” were extended to all those who helped make the Quilt Show a success.
390 viewers attended. Rose Rixon won the Mayor’s Award.
* Maryanne Wood
will receive our 2006 to Charity Quilt at our May meeting.
*Make
A Wish Foundation will receive the 2007 charity quilt.
*Guild
Pin should be ready for the June meeting.
*Nominating
committee gave an update on their search for officers for next year.
*Sharon
informed us that we needed to pay $100.00 to NMC for the use of their room
for our workshop to be held on Saturday, 4/22. Motion was made by Shireen
Melton to pay NMC $100; Nancy Orcutt seconded. Motion passed.
Fabulous 15 Challenge
is # 3. Great response so far…keep them coming!!
New Business
*Discussion
concerning upcoming State Guild Meeting. Members were asked for donations
for the Tea Cup Auction to be brought to the next meeting.
*
Several bus trips are planned to visit various Quilt Shops. Contact Sally
McIntyre for info.
* Pattern
was given out for a block to be sent to Kirsten Kibbel. She has moved
to Washington state.
* Citizens
Bank has offered to display our Purple Heart Quilts.
Raffle Blocks were won
by Carol St. Peter.
Monthly Drawings were
won by Jeanette Pa Pierre, Betty Morgan, Bonnie Evans, Shireen Melton.
May Meeting Program
will be a trunk show by Marilyn Gillis. She has wonderful Art Quilts.
Meeting adjourned to
enjoy a terrific slide and trunk show with Sharon Stroud.
