2008 CHARITY QUILT PRESENTATION to Franklin County Humane Society received by Rusty accompanied by kittens, Hugs and Kisses.  Quilt construction was coordinated by Denise Chase and Sharon Perry, machine quilting by Babette Coons.

SECRETARY'S REPORT postponed until next meeting.

TREASURER'S REPORT:  Quiche Perry made a motion to accept; Denise Chase seconded.  Motion carried.

Beth Jessiman made a motion to accept slate of officers; Bev Cook seconded.

NEW BUSINESS

2009 Charity Quilt:  Karen Gibson and Gwen Guyette discussed their pattern choice for next year’s charity quilt.
Suggestion made to reimburse gas expense to Sharon and Scott Perry and Gail and Ted Darling who so generously picked up and returned pole equipment for annual quilt show.  Federal reimbursement guidelines are $0.505 per mile.  Diane Forey made a motion to issue payment; Gerda Thibault seconded.  Motion carried.  Shireen Melton made a motion for future reimbursement for gas expense at the governing Federal reimbursement guidelines; Quiche Perry seconded.  Motion carried.

Charity Quilts:  Denise Chase is collecting fabric for charity quilts.  Kits are available for anyone to sew.

WIP - UFO CHALLENGE:  Enter your name for each WIP finished.  Running stats will be included in mtg packet each month.  139 WIPs completed as of April.  Nancy Orcutt had the most WIPs in April.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

- Vermont Quilt Festival, Champlain Valley Expo, June 27th - 29th with the Awards Ceremony & Champagne Preview on June 26th.
BOM:  8 blocks were submitted.  Winner was Gisele Nolan.

MONTHLY DRAWING:  Winners were Helen Gingras-Calvin, Carol Bessette, Diane Forey and Kirsten Kebbel.

PROGRAM FOR JUNE;  Shireen announced the June meeting consists of a Teacup Auction and Potluck Dinner which will start at 6:00 pm.  Please bring items for teacup auction.  Drinks and utensils will be provided.

CHARITY QUILTS SHOW AND TELL

SHOW AND TELL:  There were lots of beautiful quilts; guild members have been busy!

PROGRAM:  Trunk show with Deb Tucker who also shared her 21 ways to be successful.
